Ski Portillo Chile is a ski resort located about 2 hours drive northeast of Santiago, Chile. It is one of the largest ski areas in South America, and is located entirely above tree line. The ski season typically runs from mid-June to late-September.
 
After a great afternoon of freeriding, there are few places we would rather be than Hotel Portillo. The food is incredible, the atmosphere friendly and international, and with internet, fitness room, heated pool, sauna, aerobics, movies, live music, piano bar, and a discotec, you will be left wondering why there are only 24 hours in a day.
 
Holiday à la Carte has seen the bowls and steep chutes of Portillo untouched for days after a storm. While the world cries from below stranded in the town of Los Andes, unable to get up the steep pass, Portillo's guest are left in bliss with endless untracked powder, often for days. With some of South America's best powder snow, also has some of the best bluebird spring conditions we have seen. Portillo sunsets here are epic
 
Days are yours, free to explore the open slopes just outside our hotel's door, via the 12 chairlifts, hiking the super c and chutes above the mystical Inca Lake, or even heli-skiing.
